Equine-Oriented Summer Camp in Collaboration with The Ohio State University
In July of 2025, Therapy Strides proudly introduced an innovative pilot program of a unique summer camp, which offered children a dynamic approach to speech and language therapy, integrating nature and equine interaction as powerful therapeutic tools. Graduate students in speech-language pathology from The Ohio State University Department of Speech and Hearing Science participated. The graduate students gained valuable clinical experience under the supervision of licensed speech-language pathologist.
During the 20-hour summer experience, children received collaboratively-designed speech-language pathology (SLP) services that supplemented their therapeutic goals. Licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologists, supported by OSU graduate students, delivered specially designed interventions in an engaging equine environment.

Therapy Strides is eager to expand therapy offerings in the near future, including additional camps. With each of these camps, graduate students in speech-language pathology participate and acquire meaningful knowledge from seasoned, licensed speech-language pathologists. Additionally, the graduate clinicians bring ideas from their academic education to share with others.
Stay tuned for our next summer camp offering!
